Claims Executive (Motor)

PURPOSE

Responsible for the accurate and timely settlement of claims within the service turnaround time and delivery of efficient, professional customer service in accordance with FWD’s service philosophy and standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Administer new claims registration and to be responsible for Reserves creation upon receipt of First Notification of Loss (FNOL)
  • Assess motor claims including OD, ODWS, TPPD & TPBI and Subrogation and to ensure all claims are resolved fairly
  • Coverage determination, analyse and evaluate quantum & liability in claims
  • Timely Reserve adjustment to ensure adequate and accurate reserve is maintained
  • Ensure all claims are resolved in a fair and reasonable manners within the given authority limit and in accordance to the guidelines and SOP
  • Attend to customers’ claims enquiries and responding to customer within the TAT
  • Handle customer’s claims complaints and escalations as per SOP
  • Liaise with policyholders, claimants, workshops, loss adjusters, lawyers and authorities during the claims administration
  • Outstanding files review
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the manager

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree holders
  • Possess the necessary General Insurance certification – BCP, PGI & ComGI

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of experience in claims processing in insurance companies especially in motor claims
  • Good knowledge of local legislations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Independent and ability to work under pressure
