Corporate Strategy Manager

Permanent Role, Singapore


The Corporate Strategy and Development Manager will be responsible for the strategy execution at the corporate level and working directly with the CEO and Management Team. The position is instrumental in assessing the ever-changing strategic landscape and to perform strategic and financial analysis to determine strategic options and to make actionable recommendations.



Strategy and Development

  • Work closely with senior management to proactively provide business insights and recommendations
  • Research for possible growth opportunities within the market
  • Assist in the development of strategy/business plan processes and drive the execution with senior management
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of various projects, including financial analysis and product performance

Business Manager to CEO Office

  • Provide proactive executive support to the CEO in day to day activities and facilitate effective management and leadership of the business
  • Oversee Board presentations, Regulatory presentations, CEOs meeting presentations, and any other CEO reports
  • Prepare papers and packs for a range of meetings, operating to the highest standards of confidentially, discretion and diplomacy
  • Develop and maintain excellent relations with EXCO, to ensure seamless flow of information
  • Work with EXCO to prepare and coordinate annual strategy paper
  • Drive and coordinate the agenda for EXCO and senior management offsites and Townhall

Business Planning

  • Define the scope of the business plan in collaboration with senior management
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the business plan
  • Review and revise the schedule with senior management and all other involved parties
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the business plan will be evaluated at its completion
  • Manage employees, consultants, vendors according to the established policies and practices of FWD Singapore
  • Prepare documents to ensure that all information is appropriately documented and secured
  • Monitor the progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress



  • Bachelor Degree in business/management
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business and corporate strategy / consulting



  • Sound understanding of the different functions of an insurance company
  • Strong understanding in the area of Group Insurance Business is an added advantage
  • Solid business analytics skills and business acumen
  • Strong inter-personal relationship
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience in working in a high-pressure environment and displaying excellent planning, organisational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and GROUP/Asia CSC software are advantageous
