If anything happens to your motorcycle

Step 1: Keep calm

Step 2: Call FWD Emergency Assistance at +65 6322 2072
Give us details of your name, NRIC/ FIN, mobile number, motorcycle registration number, and location of the accident site. If anyone involved in the accident is injured, let us know and we will contact the police and arrange an ambulance.

Step 3: Our appointed Mobile Accident Response Service (MARS) will meet you at the accident site.

Important note
  • It is a requirement that you lodge the GIA Report at any of our Approved Reporting Centres within 24 hours, or by the next working day.
  • You should not admit any legal responsibility or make any offer to a third party.

If you do not activate our Emergency Assistance at the accident site, you can simply head down to our Approved Reporting Centres which also serve as FWD Premium Workshops ? for a one-stop service to lodge the GIA report and receive quality-assured motorcycle repairs.

If the accident happened in Overseas?

Just call FWD Emergency Assistance at +65 6322 2072. Our 24-hour assistance service will help you arrange for towing of your motorcycle back to Singapore and filing of a police report.

Whether you are making a claim under your motorcycle policy or you intend to make a claim against the other party, just ride to the FWD Premium Workshop nearest to you and they will handle any necessary repairs and help you file your claim.

If you wish to get your motorcycle repaired at a workshop of your choice, you can send your motorcycle to your preferred workshop and inform your workshop to contact us. We?ll guide them through the claim process.

If your motorcycle goes missing or is stolen in Singapore or Malaysia, call FWD Emergency Assistance at +65 6322 2072 and we?ll guide you through what to do, step by step and also appoint a panel investigator to assist you.

A Standard Excess of S$500 applies for all claims. This excess will not apply if your motorcycle is lost or damaged due to fire or theft. Additional excess may apply as follows;

  • An additional excess of S$500 applies if you are a young rider below 22 years old. This S$500 is waived if you purchased the Young Rider Excess Waiver.
  • The Standard Excess will increase from S$500 to S$1,000 if you prefer to get your motorcycle repaired at a workshop of your choice. This will not apply if damage was caused by fire or theft.

If your motorcycle was stolen outside Singapore, you will have to pay an amount equal to 50% of the motorcycle?s Market Value, up to a maximum of S$2,500.

You can claim for Hospitalization Expenses if your policy includes this benefit (as shown in your Motorcycle Insurance Summary). To make a claim for yourself or for your authorised rider or any passenger, you can either login to the FWD Customer Portal or file a claim online.

Notify us immediately or forward the third party letter or documents to us at contact.sg@fwd.com and we will handle the claim on your behalf.

We’ll update you at every stage and let you know whenever we get a claim notification from the third party and when the settlement is finalised.
