Singapore, 1 April 2021 – FWD Singapore (“FWD”) today announced the launch of a complimentary insurance benefit that provides a one-time, lump sum payout of S$5,000 for its life insurance customers, and those who sign up for an eligible FWD insurance plan through its website (www.fwd.com.sg) or any of its partner financial advisory firms before the end of June this year.
Eligible customers can make a claim in the event of hospitalisation, in either the intensive care unit or high dependency ward for at least 12 consecutive hours, due to any complications or side effects arising from approved COVID-19 vaccinations in Singapore.
The coverage is valid till the end of the year for all existing customers who hold a FWD life insurance plan, and those who buy a life policy between 1 April and 30 June 2021.
This latest initiative comes as the Singapore Government announced its intention to complete the vaccination programme for all long-term residents by the third quarter of 2021 as the country continues with its progressive reopening.
