Cashless Outpatient medical expenses

Your maid insurance plan doesn’t cover your helper’s outpatient medical expenses if she’s sick. Our Cashless Outpatient plan pays up to S$30 per doctor’s visit after you pay the first S$10 at our network clinics.

Six-monthly medical examination

Our medical examination package helps you save on MOM’s mandatory six-monthly medical tests (for pregnancy and syphilis). You can get the tests done at our selected clinics.

  • Save with us on each mandatory medical examination compared to usual market price.
Performance bond for Philippine Embassy

If your Filipino maid is going on home leave or needs to renew her passport, you’ll need to purchase a Philippine Embassy Bond and submit it to the embassy. In case the bond is called, you do not need to pay anything more and we will pay it for you.

you asked, we answered

When will the security bond be transmitted to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)?

For new or transfer maids, the security bond will be transmitted to the MOM within 14 days before the start date of your FWD Maid insurance policy.

For renewal maids, the security bond will be transmitted to the MOM within 2 working days from the date your FWD Maid insurance policy is issued.

Malaysian maids and maids of Diplomats do not have a security bond, so transmission is not applicable.

When can I renew my maid’s work permit?

You can renew your maid’s work permit after the security bond has been transmitted successfully to Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

I’ve cancelled my maid’s work permit with Ministry of Manpower (MOM). How can I cancel the maid insurance with FWD?

MOM will notify FWD to cancel your Maid insurance after they have approved the work permit cancellation and discharged the security bond. We will update you via email on the insurance cancellation along with any refund. The effective date of insurance cancellation is based on the clearance date from MOM and not when the work permit is cancelled.
